I.Q. from Nu Wave Software/CRL ------------------------------ Pilot units (looking like snakes in the intro, and more like dots in the game ;) through a hexagonal grid. Each segment can only be run once and the unit preventing access to a node (i.e. running and coloring the 6th and last available node to access it) conquers the node. Your goal is to conquer the most nodes among the four units running through the grid. The grid has no outer limits, i.e. going out of the screen from a side lets you back in from the opposite side. You can configure the game to be played from 0 to 4 human players by assigning unit types to each of the 4 units available (green, red, blue and purple). Take notice that units 'learn' how to behave, i.e. repeat the same action they are 'taught' to do in a situation (by the human player, AI or random) if that situation occurs again. This also means that you don't have to enter _every_ move even if you control a NEW unit. NEW - unit is controlled by a human player. AUTO - unit is controlled by the computer's AI. WILD - unit is controlled by the computer randomly. SAME - unit is controlled by a human player. The difference with NEW is that a unit configured to be SAME remembers what it learnt in the previous game(s), while a NEW unit doesn't. ---- - you can also leave a unit out of a game. :) Use F3 and F5 to configure units, and F7 to start the game. Controls for the NEW units (keyboard - joystick controls are not available): SPACEBAR - change direction. about any other key ^^; - confirm direction. e.g. the unit is currently facing up-left and awaits an order, and you want it to proceed towards down-left. Press the SPACEBAR once or more times till the unit faces down-left, then press any other key. Ah, of course - to load the game, just boot the disk. --------- This game should work just fine with any Commodore 64 emulator supporting the D64 image format.
